About Us
Dundrum Badminton Club is a long-established and welcoming badminton club affiliated with Taney Parish, Dundrum, Dublin 14.
Founded in 1898, it is the oldest surviving badminton club on the island of Ireland.
Dundrum BC is also affiliated with Badminton Ireland, the Leinster Branch Badminton Union of Ireland and takes part in the annual Dublin District League & Cup competitions.
Location
Dundrum Badminton Club is based in Taney Parish Centre, Dundrum, Dublin 14, D14 AX78.
The Parish Centre is located beside Christ Church, Taney combining a historic church setting with a vibrant hub in the area for community groups, school groups, sports clubs, meetings, and social events.
By Luas: Luas Green line to the Dundrum stop. Short walk from there up Taney Road.
By Car: Usually ample parking at the Parish Centre.
Club Nights

- 2 dedicated, full-size courts on a hard-wood floor.
- Monday Evenings 7.30 - 11.00pm
- Thursday Evenings 7.30 - 11.00pm
- Players 18+ years old
Club Membership
- We welcome and cater for members of 18 years and over with varying skill levels. From those returning to the sport, through to intermediate and more advanced club players.
- Dundrum Badminton Club emphasizes a social, inclusive and welcoming culture. We also have a number of social events throughout the season.
- Club Membership includes membership with Badminton Ireland, and entry to the Dublin District League & Cups. Members have the opportunity to enter these competitions to improve their skill levels, harness competitiveness and foster teamwork.
- For the 2025 season, Dundrum Badminton Club entered multiple teams in the mens, ladies and mixed doubles tournaments at levels 7-9.
- For the 2025 season the club was competitive at all levels, with a Ladies Cup win and runner-up medal in the league.
- We hold open nights during the season for potential new members to visit and play in our club. Contact us for more details.
